Welcome to Sweet Home, Oregon!
Welcome to Sweet Home, Oregon!

Nestled in the foothills of Oregon's Cascade Mountain Range on the southeastern edge of the Willamette Valley, you'll find Sweet Home.

A small logging town, Sweet Home is known as the Gateway to the Santiam Playground. Here, you will find abundant recreational activities at Foster Reservoir,  Green Peter Reservoir, along the Santiam and Calapooia rivers and in the many county, state and federal parks. You may enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, swim, picnic or ski nearby Mt. Bachelor.

You can camp out under the stars at one of our local campgrounds or stay in our comfortable accommodations in town. Enjoy a stroll downtown along Main Street or Long Street where you'll find many murals depicting life in earlier times. Check out HOT Deals from area merchants.

Sweet Home is home to the Oregon Jamboree.

Sweet Home has a variety of businesses available to make your stay a pleasant one. Be sure to visit our Chamber Members page for a listing of some of the shopping, dining and other services awaiting you.

Plan to visit the East Linn Museum where the building and grounds house generations of artifacts of Sweet Home’s heritage.  Axes, mauls and cross-cut saws are surviving reminders of early logging methods. And don't miss the Weddle Covered Bridge, a community restoration project, that adjoins historic Sankey Park. The Covered Bridge is a favorite location for weddings, anniversary parties, music and dances.

You won't want to miss the many events in Sweet Home including the Northwest's largest country music festival, the Oregon Jamboree, and the Celtic Festival and Highland Games. Check out our events calendar for many more annual events you won't want to miss!

Whether you're planning a visit or a move to Sweet Home, you'll find an abundance of information on this website. Feel free to contact us for more information. We'll do our best to ensure you'll enjoy our town with its friendly people and its many amenities.
